The People’s Register is a repository of public comments on CDC’s Healthcare Infection Control Practices Advisory Committee’s proposed changes to CDC infection control protocols regarding aerosol transmission. While the CDC solicited public comment on their proposed changes, and elected not to accept public comment through the Federal Register, where public comments would be immediately visible to the public. Instead, they requested comment via email, and promised to post them within 60 days of their meetings on August 22, 2023 and November 2-3, 2023.
We believe it is essential for the public, and HICPAC, to see people’s comments responding to HICPAC’s concerning proposed recommendations as soon as possible. So we asked people to forward us their comments to HICPAC, and created the People’s Register.
Check out comments from others and tell your legislators how CDC/HICPAC’s decisions impact you personally — they need to hear from us.
Write and call your members of Congress, tell them CDC’s HICPAC needs oversight!
