This Template COVID-19 Resolution for Professional Associations is an action tool for you to adapt and submit to local and national professional associations and local boards of health. The Resolution asserts: support for a data-driven pandemic policy approach that centers equity; the need for an early warning system to prevent future COVID surges; the necessity to use early warning systems to trigger mitigation measures to prevent significant community spread and minimize illness and death. To help better prepare organizations for future pandemics the Resolution further promotes creation of public truth and reconciliation commissions featuring the testimony of public health and medical experts and individuals affected by the COVID pandemic from disproportionately-impacted communities. The Peoples CDC has prepared this Template Resolution as a starting point for you to adapt to your local context.
